KAMINO - The 501st Legion 1st Regiment, 3rd Battalion “Hailstorm”, ARC Detachment “Onyx” has recently selected the ten new candidates to be apart of the ARC Candidate Program. The ten new candidates are: CT Noviix, CT Fancy, CT Daku, CT Nomad (formely CP), CT Cato, CT Casidy (formely CX-X), CT Delta (formely CX-X), CM Zest, CM Falco, and CT Mungus (formerly CS). All candidates came from different backgrounds within the unit and have shown examplemary experiences during their time within the 501st Legion. We spoke to CC Ullr, commander of the 501st special forces ARC Detachment “Onyx”, and asked what he looks for when troops are interested in ARC, Lieutenant Ullr responded confidently, “What we look for is the drive and willingness to push yourself to solve problems they do not realize. Being willing to make sacrifices to the needs of your team as a whole and in doing so to help others while still accomplishing their objective. By doing this they are living up to the name of ARC and at the same time not being afraid to be tried by fire.”
We finally asked the lieutenant what he sees in the near future for ARC. He exuberantly responded, “A bright one for sure, we see a team that assists in a variety of different ways where they can overcome serious and challenging environments. In regards to how ARC solves those problems, we are looking forward to adding on to their experience. For example, if you claim to be good with one thing, you may not be as good with it as much as you think are, and so we are pushing individuals to be well rounded with their skills and anticipate all the obstacles that comes in their way.”
Currently, Onyx has eleven ARC troopers (the commander included and two in reserves) and seeks to do another Basic Selection in the near future.
